Effects of GA3, and Fulmet (KT-30) on Fruit Set and Quality in ¢¥ Kyoho ¢¥ Grapes



Abstract
This study was carried out to investigate the effects of GA©ý and Fulmet (KT-30, N-2-chloro-4-pyridinyl-N-phenylurea) on berry set and fruit quality in ¢¥Kyoho¢¥ grapes. The clusters on 7 year old ¢¥Kyoho¢¥ grapevines were soaked into 25 §·/L GA©ý and 10 §·/L Fulmet alone or in combination at 10 days after full bloom. Cluster length, diameter, weight and berry weight increased with combined treatment of GA©ý plus Fulmet and 10 §·/L Fulmet alone. Soluble solids content also increased with the combined treatment of GA©ý plus Fulmet, but it reduced with the treatment of Fulmet alone. Titratable acidity was not significantly different among all treatments. Anthocyanin content in the berry skin increased with the treatment of GA©ý alone and the control, but it reduced at all Fulmet treatments. Fructose and glucose contents were high with the combined treatment of GA©ý plus Fulmet, but sucrose was not detected at. all treatments.
